
Shalyn Gupta is an experienced Special Educational Needs educator with over nine years of experience supporting children across Singapore and the UK.
Her educational background includes a BA (Hons) in Creative Expressive Therapies (Art) from the University of Derby (UK), a BA in Psychology, a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and a Graduate Certificate in Humanistic and Psychodynamic Counselling. This multidisciplinary foundation allows her to understand each child’s learning, developmental, emotional and behavioural needs holistically.
Shalyn has worked in inclusive schools, mainstream primary education, early childhood settings, mental health services and one-to-one intervention roles. Her experience includes supporting children with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, dyspraxia, Down syndrome, global developmental delay and social-emotional needs. She has worked as an SEN Coordinator, SEN teacher, paraeducator, ABA tutor, early years practitioner and creative expressive facilitator.
Her sessions are individualised, structured and engaging, with a focus on literacy, numeracy, executive functioning, attention, communication, emotional regulation, social skills and independence. Shalyn uses children’s interests, creative activities, visual supports, practical learning and LEGO®-based interventions to make learning accessible and meaningful. She works closely with parents and other professionals to understand each child’s strengths, identify areas for development and support consistent progress across home and educational settings.
