Rachael has over 15 years of experience working with children with learning differences and complex needs.
Her professional background includes holding several leadership roles in both government special education settings and private early intervention centres.
In her leadership positions, Rachael has been responsible for managing teams of early intervention (EI) teachers, providing supervision and mentorship, and leading curriculum planning and development tailored to the diverse needs of children. These roles have also entrusted her with overseeing team performance and ensuring high standards of educational delivery.
Throughout her career, Rachael has worked closely with professionals from various disciplines, giving her a deep understanding of and respect for the contributions of each field. This experience has strengthened her belief in a multidisciplinary approach, particularly when supporting children with complex and diverse needs, to ensure comprehensive and holistic care.
She firmly believes that parents play a vital role in this collaborative process. Their insights and feedback are essential in developing individualized educational profiles and setting holistic goals that support a child’s learning across different environments.
As the Head of Programme at Amazing Collective EIP @ Orchard, and as a hands-on Senior educational therapist, Rachael is committed to maintaining an ethical, respectful, and collaborative approach in serving the best interests of her students. Together with her team, she focuses on nurturing students’ academic potential, supporting their emotional wellbeing, and maximizing their readiness for placement in either mainstream or special education schools.
