Speech Therapist

Choo Wei Ling

Wei Ling is a registered Speech and Language Therapist with the Allied Health Professionals Council (AHPC) in Singapore.

She holds a First-Class Honours degree in Speech Pathology from the University of Newcastle, Australia.

She has diverse experience working across Australia, Malaysia, and Singapore, supporting both adult and paediatric populations in a variety of settings, including schools, hospitals, aged care facilities, and private clinics. Over the past three years at AST, she has developed strong clinical expertise in managing a wide range of speech and language disorders, working with individuals with diverse and complex communication needs.

Prior to joining AST, Wei Ling worked in a private hospital, where she managed a mixed caseload comprising children with speech and language delays/disorders and neurodevelopmental conditions, as well as adults with swallowing and voice impairments. 

She also contributed to public education initiatives, delivering talks through parent support groups to raise awareness of communication difficulties and support caregivers.

Wei Ling adopts a collaborative and client-centred approach to care, working closely with parents, educators, and multidisciplinary team members to deliver holistic and evidence-based intervention.

She is fluent in English and Mandarin, and conversant in Malay, enabling her to effectively support individuals and families from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
